These solutions work fine, and of course there are plenty more mods and convenience elements to doing so.

Of course, many Diablo II Mac gamers will have tried running the game in Parallels or BootCamp already. Since I’m really passionate about the game, and especially the historical versions (I don’t care about the D2 Resurrected remaster), I’ve made this guide, discussing the main patches of Diablo II, and the Mac hardware and software required to run them. That means that useful information for Mac D2 fans is hard to come by. Unfortunately, the gaming scene for Diablo II is massively dominated by PC users, who have laughed at Mac gamers their entire lives. I’d say that more than half my motivation for getting into vintage Macs was this game alone, and the versions you can run on them. It has relevance to both forums, that's why I'm posting it here too.ĭiablo II is my favourite game of all time. I've been trying to post for more than an hour guess stars finally aligned.Note to Mods: this is a repost from the PPC forum. What an ordeal! I couldn't post using firefox or opera. Who removes the drm from games on GoG.com? How is the drm removed? There isn't some one who installs the game, applies a "No CD" fix, and then repackages the software sale is there? Troika Games, the makers of ToEE, have been out of business for around a decade. I searched and found "fixed" executables on multiple web sites. Before the first disk was inserted I noticed the text on the second disk "Play Disk". I found the disks easily (I'm a bit of a neat freak - I know where every thing is). Ones similar to Balder's Gate (BG), Balder's Gate 2 (BG2), and Temple of Elemental Evil (ToEE).

This made me a little nostalgic for an old style strategic/tactical rpg with more depth than is in DAO. I've been playing Dragon Age Origins (DAO) a lot recently. If you are to lazy (or just don't care about background information) feel free to jump to the bottom of the post where my question(s) will be located.
